Timor Leste-Letefoho

Hailing from Cafe Brisa Serena in East Timor, this coffee boasts a super smooth cup that is complimented by sweet notes of caramel and acidity reminiscent of grapes. This bean is very gently roasted to medium, which brings out these sweet notes, making it perfect for espresso or a daily driver pour-over. 

Why we chose this bean?

Having never roasted a bean from Asia before, we took it as a challenge to not only roast a bean from a different geographical area, but to also roast a different varietal. See, this bean is actually a hybrid of an Arabica and Robusta bean, meaning the final product has the fruity quality of arabica, with the boldness of a robusta. What we've found after roasting this is that the cup has character similar to an arabica, with body and boldness like a robusta.
